The feel of concrete, the weight of aluminum
Concrete is seemingly indispensable as a traditional building material. Reinforced with steel, it is typically irreplaceable for structural components, and in the form of fiber-reinforced belt courses and jambs, it has become an integral part of the current architectural language.
However, due to its heavy weight and the vast energy input required for its production, the use of concrete is coming under increased scrutiny.
In the search for alternatives, IGP Powder Coatings has developed a new line of distinctive powder coatings: The Living Surfaces range reproduces the feel and coarse aesthetics of natural and artificial stone – and is as lightweight as it is resource-friendly. That makes it an exciting new option for “rough surface” finishes.
The vibrancy and feel of stone
The Living Surfaces coatings are available in three variants: micro-speckles, wave structure, and grainy/plaster structure. These multi-colored textures give the surface the striking variation and feel of concrete or processed natural stone. Project-specific colors and textures are also possible.
The Living Surfaces range has earned the Qualicoat, Class 2 quality certification and thus offers extreme weathering resistance – the hallmark of all IGP Powder Coatings products.
